Oh the traffic outside is frightful
But the sales are so delightful
And since we've no time to spare

It doesn't show signs of slowing
And the bills just keep on growing
Santa greets tots in his chair

The shops will close for the night
But I still have some treasures to find
I shall never win this Christmas fight
So I'll just have a drink (they won't mind!)
My patience is slowly dying
And yet, I am still buying
